Paintball is a very safe sport activity to play. With strict rules, and referees, it has a lower injury rate than golf. Paintball is an excellent way to release stress, have a blast, get off the couch, and get some extra exercise, all while escaping the modern world…. You will be unplugged and into the thrill of the game in a flash. It truly is an adrenaline rush.

We recommend wearing comfortable clothing that you can run around in and don’t mind getting dirty. Preferably something loose fitting. Paintballs are filled with a plant-based substance that washes out, however, you can get dirt and grass stains as well. We recommend bringing a change of clothes for the car ride home. Or perhaps renting one of our coveralls to protect your clothing. Hoodies or a cap, as well as, gloves are a plus. We sell some of these items.
-
While getting hit, depending on what part of the body it is, can sometimes “sting” more then others there are things you can do to lesson this. Sometimes it feels like a hard tap other hits might feel like a quick rubber-band snap. To avoid unnecessary discomfort, wear appropriate clothing and layers and respect our ten foot rule not to shoot up close. We also offer a lower impact version of paintball called medium impact. Highly recommended for new players or people looking for something a little less extreme than the standard paintball. There are millions of people playing and loving Paintball and we know you will too!
-
At CZPLV we require that all paintballs are purchased from our facility with our special color filled balls. This is how we control cost and quality, pay our bills, our staff, our insurance, and how we can bring you such an amazing adventure. Our paintballs are what a soluble and biodegradable. They wash out of clothes and are safe for the environment.

Attack & Defend: One team defends a specific position, structure, or point, while the other team must attack and take it over within a time limit. This emphasizes defensive planning and offensive coordination.
King of the Hill: Teams compete to control a central area or objective for the longest time or until the other team is eliminated. This is great for developing focus and group coordination.
Center Flag: A variation of Capture the Flag where both teams play to capture a single flag located in the center of the field.

Protect the President: Similar to Attack & Defend, but one player is designated as the “president” who must be protected by their team while being escorted to a designated zone, fast passes Speedball.
Parties can have a few bigger games with everybody on one field and then break up into smaller groups and have different games on the three different fields. Not necessary and often requested, there is also an option for someone or a specific group to run the gauntlet.
Running the Gauntlet: A Paintball Tradition
Running the gauntlet in paintball is a rite of passage for every true paintballer. It is a test of skill and endurance, where players line up on a side of a map and are painted by one person sprinting across. This practice is often held during birthday celebrations or team practices, and it is a tradition that purifies the soul of a paintball player. The experience is not only physically challenging but also a way to bond with teammates and celebrate achievements.

Typicallly 100 paintballs can last anywhere from under 10 minutes for an aggressive player to over an hour or even longer for a conservative player, depending heavily on playstyle, marker type, game scenario (speedball vs. woodsball), and if you’re shooting at targets or just walls. Expect a new player in a typical game to use them up in 2-10 minutes, while tactical players can stretch them for much longer by making every shot count.Factors Influencing Duration:
-
Playstyle:Trigger-happy players burn through them fast, while strategic players conserve them.
-
Game Type:Aggressive speedball uses more (250-400+/hr), while tactical woodsball uses less (50-100/hr).
-
Shooting Habits:Firing rapidly at bunkers depletes them quickly; aiming at opponents makes them last.
Marker Type:Electronic markers fire faster, using more paint than mechanical or pump markers.General Estimates:- Average Recreational Player: Might use 150-250 paintballs per hour.
- Conservative Player: Could make 100 last 30-60+ minutes by picking shots.
- Aggressive Player: Might use 100 in under 15 minutes, or even just a few minutes in intense action.

10 tips for winning at paintball that can help you dominate the competition and have an unforgettable time on the field. **
- Stay low and move fast: One of the most important things to remember in paintball is to stay low and move quickly. This will help you avoid being hit and make it harder for your opponents to track your movements.
- Keep your marker up: Always keep your marker up and ready to fire, even when you’re moving around the field. This will help you respond quickly if you come under fire.
- Use cover to your advantage: Take advantage of cover on the field, whether it’s a bunker, wall, or tree. Use it to hide behind and protect yourself while you plan your next move.
- Be aware of your surroundings: Keep an eye on what’s happening around you at all times. This will help you avoid surprise attacks and stay one step ahead of your opponents.
- Communicate with your team: Communication is key in paintball. Use hand signals or a headset to stay in touch with your teammates and coordinate your movements.
- Aim for the torso: When aiming at your opponents, aim for the torso rather than the limbs or head. This is the largest target and will give you the best chance of hitting your mark.
- Don’t waste your shots: Paintballs can be expensive, so don’t waste your shots. Make each one count and conserve your ammunition whenever possible.
- Stay hydrated: Paintball can be a physically demanding sport, so make sure to stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water throughout the day. CZPLV offers Gatorade, energy drinks, water, soda, etc.
- Keep a cool head: It’s easy to get caught up in the excitement of the game, but try to stay calm and keep a clear head. This will help you make better decisions and avoid getting eliminated too quickly.
- Have fun: At the end of the day, paintball is all about having fun. Don’t take it too seriously and remember to enjoy yourself, even if you don’t win every game.
At CZPLV, we’re committed to providing the best possible paintball experience for our guests. From our reliable equipment to our friendly staff, we have what you need to have a great time on the field. The Great Paintball Caliber Debate: Pros and Cons
Deciding between .68 and .50 caliber paintballs involves weighing the pros and cons of each size. Both calibers offer unique advantages and disadvantages that can influence your game experience. Let’s explore the benefits and drawbacks of each to help you make an informed choice.
.68 Caliber
Pros:
- Better Accuracy and Longer Range: The larger size and weight of .68 caliber paintballs contribute to improved accuracy and a longer shooting range.
- Standard Size for Most Equipment and Games: As the most commonly used size, .68 caliber paintballs are compatible with a wide range of markers and accessories.
- More Impactful: The higher impact can add excitement and realism to the game, making it more thrilling for players who enjoy a bit of intensity.
Cons:
- Higher impact and can cause bruising: The increased impact can result in higher sting and bruising, which may be a deterrent for some players, especially beginners.
- Lower Ammunition Capacity: Due to their larger size, markers can hold fewer .68 caliber paintballs, requiring more frequent reloading.
.50 Caliber/slightly smaller ball
Pros:
- Lower Impact, less sting: The smaller size results in a softer hit, making it ideal for beginners, younger players, or those who prefer a less painful experience.
- Higher Ammunition Capacity: The smaller paintballs allow markers to hold more ammunition, enabling longer play without needing to reload as often.
- Suitable for Beginners and Younger Players: The reduced impact and higher capacity make .50 caliber paintballs perfect for new players and family-friendly games.
Cons:
- Less Accurate and Slightly Shorter Range: The lighter weight and smaller size can result in decreased accuracy and a shorter shooting range compared to .68 caliber paintballs.
- Not as Widely Used in Competitive Games: .50 caliber paintballs are less common in competitive settings, which may limit their use in certain tournaments and events.
Whether you choose the original Standard Impact or the lower Medium Impact Paintball, both are extremely Thrilling! Book your Adrenaline Rush Now at CZPLV!
